The Cutera Titan® gives you an all-natural option to enhance skin tone. Titan uses light energy to heat the dermis deep beneath your skin's surface. Without surgery, recovery time, or injections, Titan is an ideal solution for your face, abdomen, arms and more.
How does the Cutera Titan work?
Titan uses a safe infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. During the procedure, the skin's surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan handpiece.
The Titan difference
Titan's light-based platform provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources, such as RF (radio-frequency).
Who can be treated?
Since the Titan procedure heats tissue under the skin's surface, patients of any skin type or age can be treated. Your practitioner can advise you if the Titan is right for you.
What areas respond best to the Titan procedure?
Patients have been successfully treated on many areas of the body where skin is lax. Loose skin along the jaw line, under the chin, the abdomen and upper arm have responded particularly well to the procedure.
How many treatments will I need?
A single treatment has produced very good results for some patients. We will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.
What happens after the treatment? Any side effects?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours. We will provide you with complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.
When will I see results?
Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.
What do treatments feel like?
With each Titan pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything. We will advise you prior to therapy.
Has the Titan been tested and approved?
The Titan has been carefully studied in clinics around the world. It is cleared for the treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperatures and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles.
